Brief explanation of the meeting Parent teacher meeting is an opportunity to exchange observation of a child with each other. Sharing daily experience and observation provide a wider prospect for parent and teacher to plan, prepare and execute planning for better learning outcome of a student. Around 45 parents attended the meet. FE HOD Dr.Vinayak Kale highlighted the importance of mentoring, self-studies, common mistakes made by the students in online exam, surprise visit to the college by the parents. After that parents had session with respective mentors about progress of the student in which mentors discussed about attendance, Phase-I online exam result and Internal Practice Test result. The meet was very fruitful and a step towards bridging the gap between parents and teachers.

Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable; engineering is not merely analysis; engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non‐existent engineering problems; engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological change. The “Engineering Day” Celebration organised by Department of Basic Engineering on 22nd Sept., 2018. Prof. Kinjal Patel coordinated this event with team of FESA under guidance of honourable H.O.D Dr. Vinayak Kale. The anchors, Rajita Roy and Ankit Sharma commenced the events, thereafter, starting off with the first competition, the “Extempore”. The participants were called one after the other to pick a chit and speak on their topic for 2mins, while crucially being judged by the Dr. Manjusha Tomar and Dr. Parul Gupta. After the Extempore, the event moved forward with the second game, “Best out of Waste”. The participants were provided with ice cream sticks, paper cups, straws and thread and were asked to make anything technical out of the provided materials. Dumb charades had been organised to create elation amongst the audience, while the contestants were making their models. Participants were included from the audience and divided into teams to act out their given technical terms. The game had created humour and exhilaration, filling the hall with enthusiasm and cheers. The event advanced with the last competition, “Debate”, the topic being “Entrepreneurship v/s Job”. The two teams were asked to choose a leader to come forward and introduce their first set of points and spark the debate. Both the teams had put their favours forward, remarkably. A debate is conducted not to triumph a single favour but to achieve clarity on a topic from both point of views. The participants, hence, had incredibly performed in this regard. The event was ceased by a surprise game for everyone present in the audience, the “Think and Throw”. It involved paper cups with answers to riddles written on a chit, picked up by the participants who were asked to throw paper balls in the cups with the answers. The teachers and the students had participated in pairs, each pair performing, strikingly. The finale took place with the announcement of the results for various competitions that were conducted. The winners were felicitated by our Honourable HOD and faculties and this way, a beautiful interaction reached its logical conclusion.
