ICEM attempts to ensure state-of- the art IT infrastructure which enables effective delivery of teaching learning process.
Following are the details of IT infrastructure and its utility on campus:
Well-equipped Computer Lab: ICEM has well equipped computer Lab with LAN connectivity. Lab is effectively used in teaching learning process by both Faculty and Staff.
Hardware Resources: ICEM has deployed 760 Computers across 23 Computer Labs each with dedicated Lab In-charge, for various departments and has provided dedicated workstations for every Faculty member. Faculty and staff are also provided laptops on need basis for ease of work and effective delivery of assigned task. Every faculty room has been printers as shared resource and scanners are available in every department and Library to be used as and when required.
Classrooms are equipped with Smart Boards for effective teaching learning process.
All the Seminar Halls are equipped with LCD Projectors and Public Address System.
A Large format HD Display has been installed in academic building as a digital notice board to keep the students and staff updated on latest developments of ICEM.
Software Resources: Based on requirement, Licensed Software has been installed across campus. Every Staff, Faculty and Student is given a unique Microsoft mail id for all official communication and collaboration. IT team has created a common and shared online storage facility available on institute’s intranet named File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Updated End Point Security Anti-virus protection is available in all systems for data security. Latest Software tools like MATLAB, CATIA 3D Experience, STAAD Pro, Xilinx, Master CAM, MS Visual Studio etc. have been installed in computer lab.
The student administration and academics is effectively handled with a comprehensive ERP System.
ICEM also has Language Lab for enhancing the communication skills.
Network Resources: High speed Internet Leased Line of 100 MBps and WiFi Facility is available on campus for seamless connectivity of users. OneDrive (previously known as SkyDrive), which is a Microsoft’s service for hosting files in “cloud” Office Online services, is also available for all Outlook users. Through this facility, files can be synced to a PC and accessed from web browser or a mobile device, as well as shared publicly or with specific individuals
