The knowledge and skills required for planning; designing and building Complex Application Software Systems are highly valued in all industrial sectors including business, health, education and the arts. The basic objective of the education of the Master’s program in Computer Application (M.C.A) is to provide to the country a steady stream of the necessary knowledge, skills and foundation for acquiring a wide range of rewarding careers into the rapidly expanding world of the Information Technology.

Our goal is to prepare competent software engineers imbibed with the spirit of professionalism and responsible citizenship, in a competitive global environment. To this end, the MCA department is committed for attaining excellence in imparting technical education to equip the students with value added IT skills, in conformation with the current and future needs of the industry, along with values that define professional conduct.

The M.C.A. program comprises of the core concepts in computer architecture, networking, object orientation, application programming, web deployment and mobile computing with a research focus. The curriculum also includes the other significant subjects such as probabilities and combinatories, business process, management, financial accounting and Optimizing Techniques learnt for being successful tech-managers, utilizing the resources to their fullest.

Master of Computer Application

The program constitutes a unique combination of basic and advance subjects keeping in view of the blend of the latest technology and strong technical base required to work for any Software Industry of repute. The M.C.A. program comprises of the core concepts in computer architecture, networking, object orientation, application programming, web deployment and mobile computing with a research focus. The curriculum also includes the other significant subjects such as mathematics, business process, management, financial accounting and Optimizing Techniques learnt for being successful tech-managers, utilizing the resources to their fullest.

To a bridge the gap between Institute and Industry students are given projects in every semester and an internship at IT Industry in final semester to have hands-on experience in developing real-time applications. The professional outlook of every student is groomed through soft skills training and career development programmes.

Entry Requirement :
For FY MCA: Any graduate having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination + MH-CET or MAMI-CET or AIM CET.

The Master of Computer Application is designed so that each student will have demonstrated the following competencies upon graduating with a degree of MCA:

  6. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  7. Ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations and society.
  8. Recognition of the need for and having the ability to engage in continuing professional development.
  9. Ability to use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing practice.
  10. Ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity.
  11. Ability to understand and analyze financial statements of a business.

Alumni

  • Alumni Meet 2016 indeed was a very successful event held on Saturday, the 12th, March 2016 at ICEM Pune. Presence of alumni working in varying fields gave the meet its true meaning. The overwhelming response and the enthusiasm of alumni made the day more memorable.
  • Principal Prof. Sunil Ingole and Dr.Punam Bhoyar (HOD-MCA) & other teachers were present to grace the occasion. This year again we recognized the contribution made by alumni towards strengthening the Alumni Association.
  • He appealed to the alumni to address the students of ICEM and to interact with the institute by being an active member of alumni cell.
  • The alumni’s were gifted a Corporate Diary.Adding to the glory was the staggering/amazing video for alumni. It was a fun-filled ride of emotions, togetherness, friendship and excitement for all the alumni as well as the faculty and current volunteer students.
