The Department's primary goal is to equip students with knowledge, skills, and resources for lifelong physical fitness. Encouraging participation in intercollegiate sports, from team sports like Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Kabaddi, Handball, and hockey to individual sports like table tennis, Chess, badminton, and track and field, fosters athletic development, teamwork, and leadership. Emphasis is also placed on educating students about physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being. Overall, the Department plays a crucial role in promoting physical fitness, healthy habits, sportsmanship, and teamwork among students. It serves as a centre for engaging in various physical activities, acquiring essential knowledge about fitness and wellness, and developing skills for holistic growth.
