Innovation and Excellence Awards 2022

After hosting numerous Corporate Congresses & Summits for the past decade, ICEM & Indira Global Business School (IGBS) is hosting Indira Innovation Excellence Awards to honour the leading Indian Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Senior Leaders from reputed companies from different fields who have contributed significantly to the advancement of humankind with their novel innovations.

The theme for this year is 'Innovate to Excel'.

Innovations have been the driving force in the development of mankind and every professional innovate to excel in his/her life. We all are innovators!! From the simple 'wheel' to sophisticated machinery like Artificial Satellites and Mars Rowers; from simple ploughing tools to Biotechnologically Engineered 'seeds', all are innovations that are embodied by innovators who have revolutionized the world.

The world has seen a colossal development throughout history. It was triggered further by

the Industrial Revolution and the advent of the scientific approach in innovations. Every innovation has helped us climb the higher rungs of development giving us better living opportunities and access to better facilities in nourishment, medical, transport, ergonomics, agriculture, aerospace, and many other things.

It is no secret that 'Innovations' drive the market and in turn the economy of any country. Groundbreaking innovations and their innovators not only influence global business but also make a mark on the hearts of the common people.

Indira Innovation Excellence Awards 2022 is organised by Indira College of Engineering and Management, Pune for all budding engineers and management graduates, It will recognise and felicitate the leading Indian Innovators, Professionals, Entrepreneurs and Senior Leaders from reputed companies from various domains, who have contributed significantly to the advancement of humankind with their novel innovations especially during covid19 pandemic.

Indira Innovation Excellence Awards 2022 was held on 26th March 2022. The day consisted of interactive sessions from industry stalwarts for our students from Civil, Mechanical, Computer Engineering streams, MCA and MBA departments in the first half.

The second half consisted of HR Awards & Innovation Excellence Awards. This followed by an evening filled with scintillating cultural performances from our students, a rib-tickling stand-up comedy show by renowned artist Mr Mandar Bhide and a Rocking concert by famous Lambada band.

Indira Engineering and Architecture Excellence Awards 2017

Indira Group of Institutes celebrated a huge milestone of its completion of 10 Glorious Years of Indira Engineering & Architecture Awards by organizing the “10^th Indira Engineering and Architecture Excellence Awards 2017” on Wednesday, 18^th January, 2017. The event was graced by Lt. Gen. A K Singh, (Retd.), PVSM, AVSM, SM,VSM ,Ex GOC in C, Southern Command and Ex- Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry . The culmination of this event witnessed a live concert by India’s Superstar Rapper BADSHAH.

9^th Indira International Summit and HR excellence Awards.

There are immense opportunities in India for business growth in a growing economy, but it requires innovative minds to capture this market. Indira College of Engineering and Management organizes “Indira International Innovation Summit” and “HR Excellence awards” every year. The Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Senior leaders from companies of repute are recognized and awarded for their contribution in their respective fields and inspiring the spirit of innovative thinking.This year ICEM organized the “9^th Indira International Innovation Summit” and “HR Excellence Awards” on 15th Jan 2016. The theme of the summit was “Innovating in Digital India: Challenges and Opportunities.” This year we started a new academic segment wherein our institute has made an attemp to

acknowledge the contribution of the junior colleges in the development of education in Pune and making it one of the most sought after educational hubs.

IGI started the Indira International Innovation Summit in 2008 with an aim to promote the Industry – academia linkages to enable the Indira College of Engineering and Management (ICEM), Pune to emerge as a Leading technical manpower source, but today this summit has become a platform for rekindling the power of creativity and innovations which would drive future innovation in the Industry.

We are living in the era of “Digital India” where the entire country is in the process of getting digitalized. Innovation functions as a stimulus for the growth of the industries and eventually development of the society making people’s lives easier and more comfortable. We, at ICEM, strongly believe that innovation become a sine qua non for the very survival of any business and therefore nurture a culture of thinking out-of-the-box towards creating a successful career, amongst the students pursuing various professional courses within the institute. The 9th 3I Summit aimed to offer a great learning experience to the students of Indira and to imbibe the spirit of innovation in them. The wealth of knowledge and experience available at the summit served as a motivation for the young generation at Indira, to realize the value of innovation and to benefit from the presence of ace practitioners.

Under the theme of “Youth, Innovation and Entrepreneurship” the summit aspired and imbibed the spirit of innovation in Gen. Next students for entrepreneurship

Pune – January, 2015: Indira College of Engineering and Management under the aegis of Indira Group of Institutes organized 8th Indira International Innovation Summit and HR Excellence Awards on 23^rd January, 2015.The summit was an endeavor by the leading educational institute in Pune to expose academia to the leading edge innovation practices from across the world. The event acted as a remarkable platform for intellectual exchange of ideas between the industry giants and hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs.

The event was graced by Chairperson of Indira Group of Institutes Dr. Tarita Shankar and Group Director Prof. Chetan Wakalkar. The Chief Guest for the evening was Member of Parliament

Hon. Shri Anil Ji Shirole. On this occasion he quoted “Innovation is the key to success for the youth of today and a major necessity to build a strong nation”.

The 8^th Indira International Innovation Summit and HR Excellence Awards witnessed some eminent personalities from various industries who had contributed tremendously to the society.
