Admission Process for MBA Course/ MBA Admission Registration

The MBA program of Indira College of Engineering & Management, Pune (ICEM) is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The admissions for the same are done as per rules & regulations framed by the Admission Regulating Authority (ARA), from time to time.

The detailed schedule for admission is published by them on their website http://cetcell.mahacet.org/. Interested candidates must regularly visit the website for eligibility, procedure & participation in the Common Admission Process also referred as CAP.

Candidates are advised to check the MBA admission eligibility as per DTE guidelines before applying for MBA program. Candidates are advised to, do their registration for the admission online on https://www.maha2019cap.org/, submit preferences of Institutes, and get document verifications done at Setu Suvidha Kendra allotted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State.

After the registration and the students’ preferences the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State will put up the merit list. The Candidate will get admission to a suitable college as per his/ her merit and the preferences filled. Our Institute is a part of CAP process. However, please note that the allotments (Round Wise) are done by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State.After finalizing the process through CAP, candidates have to fill and submit MBA admission application forms for their respective allotted institutes

After allotment by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State the candidates must report to the allotted institute within date & time given by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State. The candidate must submit the duly filled requisite application form of the Institute with one attested copy of academic & other supporting documents along with institute’s fees.

Candidate will have to submit ORIGINAL documents at the time of admission before they can be confirmed through ONLINE ADMIISION REPORTING process on the same day of admission.

These documents will remain in the custody of the institute for verification of the same by Admission Regulating Authority (ARA), Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (DTE) & University authorities. The verification process takes a few months’ time.

Please ensure that you take a print out of the ONLINE RECEIPT for the admission from the website, within the reporting hours of the particular Round. This is a proof of confirmation of admission. ICEM has State Of The Art IT Infrastructure. The institutes are equipped with latest workstations and interactive smart classrooms with audio visual units including apple tv. ICEM has one to one and one to many video conferencing facility. Wireless connectivity for student’s laptops and iPads is provided throughout the campus including the hostels. Our 250 mbps dedicated internet connectivity caters the internet requirement within the campus on 24 x 7 basis. The students experience the best communication, co-ordination and collaboration with their faculty, coordinators and teammates via personalized mailbox on office365 and student’s portal on ERP system. The IT infra also covers the latest licensed softwares for designing and simulation of projects, statistical analysis and project presentation. Security (physical & data access) within the campus is administered via surveillance cameras and data access policies implemented via various servers using Microsoft technology.

Library

The Libraries of the institute have an excellent collection of reference / text books, encyclopaedia’s and periodicals related to the field of Management & IT. The Institute also subscribes to several international & national journals, periodicals from the field of Management and IT. Reading room facility is available for the students. The library is updated by adding the latest textbooks, reference books, management journals and Indian Economics Survey Report as per the demands of faculty, industry and students on continuous basis. ICEM has also subscribed to Global Management e-journal database like- EBSCO and J-Gate, e-books on general reading, self - help and motivational inspirational literature.

Sports Facilities

The IGI campus features expansive outdoor facilities including a football ground, a cricket ground, and a volleyball court. For indoor sports, there is a dedicated badminton court along with areas for chess and carrom. Additionally, our modern gymnasium and fitness centers, led by a full-time fitness director, support various fitness activities such as swimming, yoga, physical training, and aerobics. Decathlon Outlet Visit,Wakad, Pune

MBA First Year students undertook a practical group assignment at Decathlon Outlet,Wakad, Pune, aimed at applying classroom concepts to a real-world retail environment. This experiential learning activity allowed students to observe and analyze Decathlon’s operations through the lens of various management subjects including Marketing, Operations, Consumer Behavior, and Retail Strategy.

During the visit, students explored key areas such as store layout, inventory management, promotional strategies, customer experience, and sustainability practices. Each group prepared and submitted a detailed report capturing their observations, analysis, and recommendations.

The visit provided students with valuable industry exposure, enhanced their analytical skills, and strengthened their understanding of modern retail practices. We thank Decathlon for their support and look forward to more such enriching experiences.

Outdoor Management Training at our Campus

Industrial Visit to Mahabaleshwar

As part of the MBA program, students of 2024-2026 visited Mapro Foods Private Limited, Mapro Food Park in Mahabaleshwar to gain insights into the food processing industry.

Our MBA First Year Student Miss Shravika Ingole shared her experience as “After the stress of our recent exams, the visit offered a much-needed escape into nature. Surrounded by lush greenery, cool breezes, and the tranquil atmosphere of Mahabaleshwar, we felt a sense of calm and freedom. It reminded us of the importance of balancing academic life with moments of peace and relaxation. The natural surroundings not only refreshed minds but also gave a deeper appreciation for the resources students often take for granted.”

Another MBA First Year Student Miss Aanchal Dwivedi shared her experience as “ Field visit to Mapro and Mahabaleshwar felt like stepping into a postcard! Surrounded by strawberry fields and fresh mountain air, we explored how Mapro turns fruits into tasty jams and syrups—it was like watching magic in a bottle. With friends by our side, we laughed, learned, and tasted our way through the day. From factory fun to scenic sunsets, it was a sweet escape full of memories, learning, and lots of strawberries!”
