It equipped them with the necessary information, tools, and support systems to navigate their academic and personal growth successfully. Head of Department Dr.C.M. Sedani motivated students towards overall development.
Science Day, celebrated on February 28th in India, marks the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman, a pivotal moment in the country's scientific history. To commemorate this occasion and foster scientific inquiry among students, the Institution Mechanical Engineering Student Association (I MESA) organized a Poster Presentation event. The theme for this year's event was "Exploring Frontiers: Engineering Solutions for a Sustainable Future." The Poster Presentation on Science Day took place at APJ Hall on 28th Feb 2024.
A panel of judges comprised of faculty members evaluated the poster presentations based on criteria such as relevance to the theme, scientific merit, innovation, feasibility, and potential impact on addressing sustainability challenges. Participants had the opportunity to present their posters and answer questions from the judges and attendees.
The event not only highlighted the importance of sustainability in engineering but also inspired collaboration, creativity, and action towards building a more sustainable world.
On 12th April 2024, a Project Report Preparation Workshop was conducted for BE Mechanical students at ICEM. The workshop, organized by i-MESA and the speaker was Dr. Mahesh Bhong, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, aimed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively prepare and present project reports as part of their academic curriculum. As part of the Project Report Preparation Workshop for BE Mechanical Students, a session on "Auti-Indexing Preparation" was conducted to provide students with insights into creating an automated index for their project reports.
Key Steps in Auti-Indexing Preparation: During the workshop, students were guided through the following key steps to prepare an auto-index for their project reports:
The session on Auti-Indexing Preparation provided BE Mechanical students with practical guidance on creating an automated index for their project reports. By incorporating auto-indexing techniques, students can improve the accessibility and usability of their reports, thereby enhancing the overall quality of their academic work.
